Back-to-School May Mean Going Back-to-Bad Corporate Culture

Early on, during this CV19 crisis, we heard about big organizational improvements. There seemed to be a remarkable spike of innovation, courage, speed, agility, care, compassion, courageous and CONSTRUCTIVE clusters of behavior norms happening across many companies, almost overnight. I warned you though, not to mistake the current “doing” for “being”; temporary behavior changes do not indicate sustainable improvements in culture norms (congruency with espoused core values) let alone sustainable improvements in organizational effectiveness. Beware of the false optimism.
